EduHackathon online at Politecnico di Torino!

The Italian EduHackathon, second multiplier event of the Edu-Hack project initially scheduled in Turin on 24 March and postponed due to the Covid-19 emergency, will be held on 27-28 April 2020, experimenting with an online formula. After following the activities proposed by the EduHack Online Course, 20 professors and researchers from the Politecnico di Torino (which organizes and manages the event), the eCampus University and the University of Genoa, assisted by 5 facilitators, will meet to work remotely in groups on the development of 5 project ideas for the building of tools or practices useful for online teaching and learning.

Edu-Hack & EC together against Covid-19

We are proud to inform our network that the EduHack course, designed in the frame of the Edu-Hack project, has been selected by the European Commission as one of the resources to be promoted in the official European Commission page that collects a selection of online resources and tools for learners, teachers, and educators during the outbreak of COVID-19. A way to be useful to all those who in these hard times don’t want to give up receiving or providing training.

The EduHack training course at the Politecnico di Torino is starting

On January 20, the second pilot training course of the Edu-Hack project is officially started at the Politecnico di Torino, which will involve about 50 university professors and researchers coming from the Politecnico di Torino, the University of Genoa and the eCampus University, members of the project Network.

The training course will be structured in two phases: until February 28, participants will be able to follow the activities provided by the EduHack online course with the aim of familiarizing themselves with teaching resources and practices offered by the digital world. Then, on the next March 24, participants will be involved in the first Italian EduHackathon to personally experience these tools in the context of a creative and collaborative event, aimed at comparing and developing projects and ideas that could improve the teaching activity and the learning experience in digital environments.

52 participants working on the Spanish EduHack pilot course

The Spanish pilot of the EduHack online course is closing at the end of April, with 52 registered participants working on the course activities, reflecting on the course wall and exchanging opinions on their experience. After the end of the course, participants will meet in Logroño on the 15th of May for the UNIR EduHackathon, for which ideas are being collected and developed.

The EduHack course: day 1!

The first of the three courses that are at the core of the EduHack project has just started. Organised by UNIR, this course began on March 18 and is expected to finish with the UNIR EduHackathon, to be held in Logroño, Spain on May 15.

The EduHack programme consists of two different elements: an online course to develop digital skills and strategies and a highly intensive and dynamic EduHackathon where participants will work face-to-face to enhance their collaborative skills.

UNIR has just launched the online course with 45 active participants, who will work intensively in different groups to produce new learning content and teaching approaches with the support of experts on ICT, instructional design and open education.

The EduHackathon will be held in Logroño (La Rioja), Spain on May 15. The final event will be open to a wide audience and taking the online course is not a prerequisite for anyone who wants to take part in the EduHackathon.

There will be two more iterations of the online course followed by an EduHackathon – one in Coventry University, UK and the other in Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

eLearning in the age of Social Networks: the EduHack Platform

On October 25th 2018, as part of the initiative Learning on/with the Open Web, it was presented the first prototype of the EduHack Knowledge Sharing Platform, a new social networking platform that provides tools for both the educators and the learners to engage in discussion and online learning with the dynamics and the flow of modern social network websites.
